The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, May 6 in match 55 of IPL 2024. While the Hardik Pandya-led side entered this fixture on the back of a four-match losing streak, the Pat Cummins came into this game after a close one-run win over Rajasthan Royals.
However, it was the home skipper, Hardik Pandya who came out on top in the toss battle and invited the SRH to bat first. On the back of a 30-ball 48 from Travis Head and some crucial contributions from Cummins, Nitish Reddy, the side posted 173/8 in their 20 overs. In pursuit of the 174-run target, the MI top-order failed to go big as they departed at the score of 9 (Ishan Kishan), 4 (Rohit Sharma) and 0 (Naman Dhir).
After Rohit Sharma’s four-run stay in the middle, he was visibly left disturbed. In the viral video surfacing on X (formerly Twitter), Sharma was left dejected as he was seen rubbing his eyes in the dressing room.

Ritika Sajdeh’s reaction surfaces after husband’s yet another poor outing
Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh was also left stunned and disappointed after the 36-year-old was dismissed at the score of four off five deliveries. Facing Pat Cummins, the Aussie bowled a length delivery which Rohit flicked it off the leading edge. Klaasen was quick to call for it and completed a simple catch to dismiss the MI opener in the fourth over.

Despite the early wickets, Suryakumar Yadav’s 102* and Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 37 off 32 balls helped MI register their fourth win of the season and escape an early elimination from IPL 2024.
