Days, after the Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen yelling at LSG skipper KL Rahul following their devastating loss to the SunRisers Hyderabad, his wife and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, has shared a cryptic story on her Instagram handle. The post has caught the attention of the franchise and Rahul’s fans and is widely circulated through social media.
It all started from the game between SunRisers Hyderabad and LSG where the Pat Cummins-led side went past the Goenka-owned franchise by 10 wickets and chased down the total of 166 in just 9.4 overs. Following the humiliating defeat, Sanjeev Goenka was seen making an animating gesture towards the Indian keeper-batter and visibly looking upset from the dismal performance by him and his team.
After a harsh conversation between him and Rahul, it was rumored that all is not well between the two top officials of the Lucknow-based franchise, also the rumors of relinquishing Rahul’s captaincy duties were floated. A few days after the incident, Rahul’s wife Athiya Shetty posted an Instagram story where he posted a sunset view and added the caption, “The Calm after the storm.”
Lucknow to face Delhi in a do-or-die encounter
Following the two consecutive heart-breaking losses, the chances of KL Rahul’s side reaching the playoffs are in jeopardy. With two matches left in the competition, LSG can maximum go at 16 points which will be a good borderline for them to advance. However, they have the task of keeping aside the Delhi Capitals first up as they meet the Rishabh Pant-led side in a do-or-die encounter on Tuesday.
