The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Connecticut Suns as they become WNBA champions and bring Las Vegas its maiden pro-sporting title. The Aces held on to an entertaining 78-71 win in Game 4 of the 2022 Finals to register a 3-1 victory. Celebrating this victory, WWE 14-Time World Champion and Chief Content Officer Triple H had a special gift for the Aces.

Living up to traditions, the Game sent out a customary WWE title belt to the WNBA Champions. This tradition has been followed across sports where the WWE sends out a customised Title belt for the Championship team. Hence for the Aces, Triple H created a Women’s Championship Belt with the team’s logo.

Triple H posted a tweet addressing the championship belt which said, "Viva Las Vegas! Congratulations to the new @WNBA champions, the @LVAces - we know this @WWE championship will help continue the party you all had on The Strip yesterday!!! #RaiseTheStakes."

Champions in the truest sense

The Las Vegas Aces had a dominant 2021-22 WNBA season as they won the majority of the individual awards. Wilson won the MVP and DPOY, Becky Hammon won the Coach of the Year, while Jackie Young took home the Most Improved Player award. The Aces also won the Commissioner's Cup in July, where Chelsea Gray took home the game's MVP. Las Vegas also secured the No. 1 seed in the postseason.

Their star player A’ja Wilson scored 11 points and 14 rebounds in Game 4 of the finals and was elated with the team’s historic victory. "I think we found ourselves in this league where everyone has their standard of how they've won, and we are creating that. Our journey is just beginning, and it's been amazing so far," Wilson said.

‘I had a vision of what I wanted to do with this team’ - Hammon

Coach of the Year, Becky Hammon was extremely happy with the team’s performance throughout the season as she said, "I don't know, it's actually hard to put into words right now. A little surreal. You know, when I took the job in December, I thought when I started kind of breaking down their rosters that I could do something with it. I had a vision of what I wanted to do with this team.”
