During the 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Sunil Narine was left bamboozled by a magic yorker from Jasprit Bumrah, which hit his stumps at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It was a rare golden duck for Sunil Narine in the IPL 2024, in which he has been a dominating force for KKR at the top of the order.

After winning the toss, Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai Indians, inserted Kolkata Knight Riders into batting first. In the first over, Nuwan Thushara dismissed Phil Salt for six off five balls, to break the key opening partnership of KKR.

The first ball of the second over in the KKR innings, bowled by Jasprit Bumrah to Sunil Narine, was at the yorker length mark, which initially seemed to be going far away from the off stump. The left-handed batter saw the angle of the ball and decided to shoulder arms, but it moved in late before crashing into his off stump.   Check the top betting trends on the  best betting sites in India  and apps.

During the toss time, Hardik Pandya remarked, as per Cricbuzz, “We are going to bowl. Just want to see how the pitch behaves. It has been under covers for two days. We all are aware of the stats, but you got to turn up and play good cricket on the day.”

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer lamented his luck at the toss, losing seven in a row, and said, “I tried it another time (toss), still it came down as heads (smiles at his record on losing tosses). It's part and parcel but in such games it's crucial. Not going to take those excuses though. We want the Q next to our team.”
