The IPL 2023 Eliminator saw Krunal Pandya-led Lucknow Super Giants end their campaign in the tournament and five-time champions in Mumbai Indians making their way ahead on the final three. The Rohit Sharma-led side eventually won the game by 81 runs as some disciplined bowling from the star player of the day Akash Madhwal.

With the LSG reeling at 86/5 after 11 overs, there was some epic action after here. In the 12th over, LSG all-rounders in Marcus Stoinis and Deepak Hooda got involved in a massive collision while attempting a run between the wickets. The collision moments later saw the Australian star head back to the pavilion as a result of a brilliant run out by the MI fielders in the middle.

The very next over also saw another brilliant piece of fielding from the MI side as they run out Krishnappa Gowtham at the score of 2. This eventually resulted LSG to lose two players in a span of five balls in the middle.

Talking of the tournament now, while LSG are knocked out of the league, Mumbai will see defending champions Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 26 May. The winner of Qualifier 2 will later see MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the final, who beat GT by 15 runs to seal the berth in Qualifier 1.
