Former India captain Virat Kohli and his tremulous form with the bat has become a matter of concern for the cricket fraternity. From scoring centuries on daily basis to not being able to reach triple figures in last two-three years and getting out on a duck in IPL 2022, Virat has surely experienced everything a batter can.

The 33-year-old Indian batter recently broke silence on his poor form and stated that he is hitting the balls well. He also revealed that he is well aware of his abilities and knows how consistent he can be once he is back in his old avatar. “Right now, there is nothing that you can point out saying that’s the problem need extra attention. So, for me that is an easier thing as I know that I am batting well. And I often feel that I am batting well and getting my rhythm back,” said Kohli on Star Sports show.

Virat Kohli, who will be seen in action after sometime as he was rested from the West Indies & Zimbabwe tour post-England tour, hit the nets on Wednesday in UAE and was among the several batters who spent rigorous time honing their skills. From the videos going viral on the internet, Virat Kohli appeared to be in great touch as he was seen hitting the balls all-around the park to seasoned off-spinner R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Meanwhile, Pakistan players also had their practice session ahead of the high-octane opening fixture against Team India on August 28 (Sunday).  Pakistan skipper Babar Azam who has been in terrific form lately was seen having a quality chat and exchanging pleasantries with the Indian batter Virat Kohli on the sidelines during their respective net sessions on Wednesday.

Both teams will face each other for the first time after last year’s T20 World Cup 2021 where Team India suffered an horrific defeat against the Men in Green. Notably, both the teams will be without their premium fast bowlers in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who are ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
