With so many advantages of such leagues, several nations have come up with their tournaments, while others have pushed their players to be a part of big leagues across the globe. The format, due to its short tenure, attracts cricket lovers worldwide.
While almost all cricketers have been a part of the biggest and the most notable t20 league IPL, yesteryear’s popular names didn’t play T20 cricket, and hence, could never be part of the tournament. Needless to say, Richards would have enjoyed playing in the T20 event, and smash old records to create new every season.

England great Ian Botham is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to play for his country. The all-rounder had the power and skills to turn the game 180 degrees single-handedly. Botham’s 1981 Ashes heroics are still talked about and conveyed with excitement. His ability to hit long boundaries would have made him the perfect name for the tournament and the shortest competitive cricketing format.

Last but never least, India’s vintage all-round superhero Kapil Dev would have fit the T20 tournament perfectly. Dev’s skills made him one of the finest cricketers India has produced. The 1983 World Cup-winning captain was a frontline seam bowler and a big-hitting lower-order batter. Needless to say, Kapil’s out-swingers, batting talent, and a little impatience would have made him a perfect fit for the IPL.
