Super Giants had a good-enough IPL 2022, wherein they reached the
playoffs. The franchise could not go a few steps further, as they lacked potent
performances in the middle order. However, the new season and acquisitions put them
in good stead.  LSG secured
the services of Nicholas Pooran, who has a reputation for damaging any opposition
on his good day. Furthermore, the addition of Daniel Sams, Naveen Ul Haq and
Jaydev Unadkat has paved the way for them to have a strong bowling unit.

The pair of
Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul lit up the IPL last season with their performances.
In particular, their unbeaten stand of 210 against KKR depicts their dominance
in this format. Then, Deepak Hooda can arrive at number three, which is his preferred
position due to his good track record.

Middle-order:
Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis

As per the
signal received from the management, Pooran is likely to play the role of a
finisher in LSG. As a result, the number four and five slots can be taken care
of by Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya. Furthermore, it will be a toss-up between
Marcus Stoinis and Pooran for the six/seven slots.

Bowlers:
Mark Wood, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi

English
pacer Mark Wood is likely to remain available for the entire IPL this year, which
will be a big boost to the team’s prospects. The other two pacers, Mohsin Khan
and Avesh Khan did well to pick wickets in the last season. Then the first-choice
spinner would be Ravi Bishnoi, who has been decent in T20s.
