The Chennai Super Kings skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad stated that he dedicated this victory to the mother of Mukesh Choudhary, who passed away on Tuesday, April 21st. They had worn the black armbands as well to pay tribute to the demise of Mukesh’s mother. CSK had conquered the Wankhede, handing the Mumbai Indians their biggest loss in IPL history, It was all about the men in yellow all through the game as it was Sanju Samson who took control in the 1st innings and it was a collective bowling effort led by Akeal Hosein in the 2nd innings. The CSK fans would have been on cloud nine to see their franchise perform so well away from home.
“Pretty tough on him (Mukesh Choudhary), I would dedicate this win to him. All glory to him. Everyone chipped in and wanted to be there for him,” said Ruturaj Gaikwad during the post-match interview. The environment that the Chennai Super Kings has created for their players is reflected in the gestures by the franchise and this gives a lot of strength and motivation to the players.

CSK’s dominant performance stamps authority over the Mumbai Indians
“My gut feeling wanted me to bat first. Me and Sanju said that it wasn't coming on nicely. Everyone chipped in really well. Even the 20s helped. Sanju played a magnificent knock and took us home. We have been doing well, it's just starting to click. We are trying to cover all the bases. Mukesh to Quinton, that set the momentum. He started off really well. It's a blessing to have Akeal and Noor. Everyone is settling. Everyone is calm and composed. We start from zero, it's about assessing.” said Ruturaj Gaikwad in the post-match presentation.
The Chennai Super Kings have been simply sensational against the Mumbai Indians as they have had the game in control right from the start. The first innings was dominated by Sanju Samson as he was simply unstoppable at the Wankhede. Sanju Samson scored a fabulous knock of 101 off just 54 balls, including 10 fours and 6 sixes, at a strike rate of 187. Sanju Samson looked full of confidence as it was very evident from his shot selection itself. Mukesh Choudhury was excellent in the opening spell and Akeal Hosein chipped away with the wickets. The spin duo of Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein seems to be working out pretty well and they will be expecting them to carry on with the form.
The Chennai Super Kings have secured their 3rd victory of the season but the much more important part of it would be the collective bowling effort from the side. Sanju Samson looked like he was batting on a different surface and the bowling unit was simply magnificent.
