Lawrence Stroll is a Canadian businessman who is also an executive chairman of Aston Martin and the owner of the Aston Martin F1 team. Lawrence Stroll was born to a Jewish family in Montreal. Stroll before buying an F1 team, contributed a lot to clothing brand design company Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors by investing in them with another Hong Kong investor Silas Chou. Notably, his son Lance Stroll competed in the F1 race for the Aston Martin team in 2023.

Lawrence Stroll's net worth is estimated to be $3.8 billion according to Forbes in 2023. Lawrence Stroll got his start in the fashion world in the 1980s where in later years he went on to partner with Silas Chou and launched a company called Sportswear Holdings in 1989. They owned a brand called 'Tommy Hilfiger' and they attained tremendous success in the 1990s as it became one of the most popular fashion brands of the decade.

Hilfiger's sales grew rapidly by touching $25 million in 1992, $70 million in 1993, $100 million in 1994, and by the end of the decade the annual revenue crossed over $1 billion to make it one of the most successful brands in history. Later in 2006, they sold this company to Apax Partners for $1.6 billion.  Stroll also opened a shop called Asprey & Garrard's New York Store in 2003 and later in 2017 along with his partner they bought a company called Jimmy Choo for $1 billion. 

Stroll and his partner succeeded further in investing in different brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Pepe Jeans, and Michael Kors. They acquired the rights of Michael Kors in 2003 for a value of $100 million and later in 2018, they bought Versace for $2.2 billion after acquiring them they renamed that company Capri Holdings. Currently, Capri Holdings generate $5.5 billion in global revenue.

In 2018, Stroll and a group of investors bought the Force India Formula One team and later they renamed it as Racing Point Force India and later as Racing Point F1 team. In January 2020 Lawrence and other groups of investors paid around $235 million to get a stake of 16.7% in Aston Martin and later bought that car company overall. In 2021, Racing Point F1 was renamed Aston Martin. 

Lawrence Stroll clearly has a passion for racing cars and that was the reason for him to invest in the Formula One team. His personal car collections include 30 Ferraris (including a 250 GTO model - One of 36 people to have in the world). He also owns several rare and expensive cars around the globe from the performance division of Ford and McLaren. Overall his car collection is easily worth $200 million. 

Some of his car collection names include - 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB Spyder, McLaren F1 1996, Ferrari 250 GT Spyder, Ford GT40, Ferrari P3, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F50, Ferrari LaFerrari, Ferrari 288 GTO, and Ferrari 250 GT0. He also owns a private racetrack near Mont Tremblant. Lawrence Stroll also owns homes in London, Mont Tremblant, Westmount, Mustique, and a private island in the Caribbean.
