The Game Awards 2023, which is an annual awards ceremony to celebrate achievements in the video game industry, was held in Los Angeles, California for the second year in a row. However, gaming fans were left baffled after Spider-Man 2 failed to win a single award despite being nominated in seven categories including Game of the Year and Best Action/Adventure Game.
Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3 won the Game of the Year award at the Game Awards 2023 beating the likes of " Alan Wake 2" by Epic Games, " Super Mario Bros. Wonder" by Nintendo, " The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" by Nintendo, " Resident Evil 4" by Capcom, and Marvel's "Spider-Man 2" by Insomniac Games.
Spider-Man 2 has been a huge success since its release, becoming the fastest-selling video game made by PlayStation. However, the game failed to win a single award as many fans felt the game was robbed at the annual awards.
