Suresh Raina hit one ton in his IPL career
Suresh Raina, who was an integral part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) from 2008 to 2021, is the fifth leading-run getter in the league. In his 13-year IPL career, the southpaw hit 5528 runs in 205 matches with a ton and 39 fifties. In 2013, he struck an unbeaten hundred off 53 balls against PBKS at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and guided his team to a 15-run win. This was Raina’s only IPL century in his vast career.
On May 1, 2021, MI registered their highest successful chase
On May 1, 2021, MI pulled off a target of 219 against their arch-rivals CSK at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and recorded their biggest chase. Pursuing the mammoth score of 219, Mumbai witnessed the heroics of Kieron Pollard, who smashed an unbeaten 87 off 34 with 14 boundaries (six fours and eight maximums). Riding on their star player’s amazing batting show, MI completed the chase on the last delivery of the match.
