On Friday, January 5, Vaibhav Sury a vanshi became one of the youngest debutants in the history of the Ranji Trophy at 14 years of age after stepping onto the field for Bihar against Mumbai at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna. Despite the slight disparity around his actual age, he is still one of the youngest players to feature in first-class cricket.

If the few online platforms are to be believed, Vaibhav Suryavanshi could be 12 years of age when making his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar against Mumbai. But, in one of his interviews, which was taken in April of last year, the young cricketing sensation stated that he will turn 14 years of age in September 2023.
The resident of Tajpur block in Samastipur district of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created quite a stir in the cricketing world, representing the India B U-19 team as an opening batter in quadrangular home series recently. He scored 177 runs in six innings at an average of 29.50, including two fifties, in a tournament that featured the youth teams from England and Bangladesh.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is fond of the pull shot, took part in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy last year, becoming the eighth top run-getter in the tournament. He scored 393 runs in five innings at an average of 78.60 for Bihar, which included one hundred and three fifties.
