Chennai Super Kings are back on the winning track as they defeated Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets in match number 30 of IPL 2025 at Ekana Cricket Stadium. With the help of Rishabh Pant's captain's knock of 63(49) runs, LSG posted 166/7 in their 20 overs. In reply, Shivam Dube (43* off 37) and skipper MS Dhoni (26* off 11) finished things off as CSK chased the winning target in 19.3 overs losing five wickets.
Coming to bat first after losing the toss, LSG didn’t get a great start as they lost two wickets for 23 runs after four overs. After that, Mitchell Marsh and skipper Rishabh Pant did a little recovery and put up a partnership of 50 runs for the third wicket. Marsh got out after scoring 30 off 25 balls hitting two fours and two sixes.After that, Ayush Badoni joined Rishabh Pant as both the batters added another 32 runs before Badoni got out after scoring 22 runs off 17 balls hitting one four and two sixes. Meanwhile, Pant went on to complete his first 50 for LSG after multiple failures. In reply, CSK got a great start but went on to lose quick wickets in the middle-overs. After that, MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube finished things off for CSK with 67-run partnership as five-time champions finally got a win after five consecutive losses.
