Delhi Capitals (DC) didn’t perform upto the expectations in the last four Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons and their bowling unit played a major role in the failures. The 2020 runners-up have brought some quality bowlers in their side for the upcoming 2025 season they will now expect their bowling attack to deliver impactful results in the competition coming ahead. Noting DC’s IPL 2025 squad, SportsTiger has come up with five bowlers who can be extraordinary for them in the tournament to kick off on March 22.

5. T Natarajan
T Natarajan, who was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from 2018 to 2024, will now be seen bolstering DC’s pace attack. With his left-arm bowling, he is known for asking tough questions to batters. The 33-year-old also possesses extraordinary yorkers in his arsenal to stun batters. In the last season, he chipped in with 19 wickets in 14 matches to help SRH end their campaign as runners-up.
4. Mohit Sharma
Mohit Sharma’s experience and prowess will add strength to Delhi’s fast-bowling unit. The medium pacer can be lethal for batters in crunch situations of the game. He has shown how he can outwit batters with his slower balls and yorkers. Back in 2023, he registered his best IPL performance with 27 wickets for Gujarat Titans (GT) in just 114 matches. This year, DC will want him to replicate his 2023 performance for them.
3. Axar Patel
India all-rounder Axar Patel will be vital for DC with his all-round skills. As a bowler, his role will be essential for the spin-bowling unit. In his 11-year IPL career, he has picked up 123 wickets in 150 matches at an economy of 7.28. Along with Kuldeep Yadav, the 31-year-old will look to help DC’s spin attack leave an impact in the competition.
2. Kuldeep Yadav
India spin-bowling stalwart Kuldeep made a major contribution to India’s third Champions Trophy title win in Dubai. Appearing in five matches, he scalped seven wickets at an economy of 4.79. The spin wizard was DC’s one of four retained players for IPL 2025. In the recently concluded ICC event, he used googly as a weapon to outfox batters and noting that, Delhi will want him to step up and dominate batters this season.
1. Mitchell Starc
Australia pacer Mitchell Starc will be spearheading Delhi’s pace attack. The Aussie will utilise his bouncers and toe-crushing yorkers to shatter batters’ confidence. Delhi will want the veteran to wreak havoc on opponents with his opening bowling in the powerplay overs. In Kolkata Knight Riders’ 2024 trophy win, he played a key role with his ball. The speedster bagged 17 wickets in 14 games.
