Cricket has been quite unpredictable to say the least in the year 2024, with a plethora of surprising results for teams at the international and franchise level. From Bangladesh winning their first Test series in Pakistan 2-0 to New Zealand whitewashing India 3-0 in a Test series in their own den to India winning an ICC trophy in 11 years to Kolkata Knight Riders winning an IPL trophy in a decade, cricket as a sport is in a great state going into the new year with lots of great action expected across the board.

287-run total in IPL
In the IPL 2024, there were multiple teams going past the 250-run mark with Sunrisers Hyderabad posting 287/3 versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the highest team total in league’s history. If the current level of explosive power hitting continues in the IPL going into the 2025 season, it is highly likely that the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record total in the league gets broken, and a team gets past 300-run total for the first-time ever.
