Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) spent INR 37 Crore to retain three players, which included Virat Kohli (INR 21 Crore), Rajat Patidar (INR 11 Crore), and Yash Dayal (INR 4 Crore). RCB will now enter the IPL 2025 mega auction with INR 83 Crore in its purse, eyeing top players to bring on board. They also have three Right-To-Match (RTM) cards, to bring back potential players during the upcoming auction.
Despite boasting some strong players over the years, especially in the batting side, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are still unable to win the coveted IPL title once. With that, RCB now must look for players who could balance the team in both batting and bowling departments, to take a giant step towards claiming the IPL trophy for the first-time in their history.
We have listed five players RCB could consider bidding on in the IPL 2025 mega auction-
Rachin Ravindra
Rachin Ravindra, 24, the all-rounder from New Zealand, is one of the fastest rising starts in cricket, which will make him a top attraction for many of the top franchises in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. He had quite a good time with CSK in the 2024 IPL season, but since they have decided to not include him in the retention list, RCB could consider him as option at the top of the order alongside Virat Kohli . Ravindra has all the potential and the ability to adapt to various situations with the bat and the ball, which could keep him good stead regardless of where he ends up in the IPL next season.
