The former T20 World Cup-winning captain of Australia, Aaron Finch had indicated that the ongoing BBL 2023-24 season could be his last in the competition. When the 7Cricket presenter Jason Richardson asked him whether this is officially his last season in the Big Bash League, the 37-year-old stated that it’s “most likely yes.”

Aaron Finch, who is currently a part of Melbourne Renegades, wasn’t in the playing XI for their BBL match against Adelaide Strikers at the Docklands Stadium on Friday, December 29. The former Australian cricketer had to sit out from the second consecutive match in the competition due to back soreness after missing a trip to Optus Stadium in Perth for the boxing day clash against Perth Scorchers.

On the sidelines of the BBL match between Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers, Aaron Finch gave an interview to 7Cricket presenter Jason Richardson, talking about his team, while addressing his future in the BBL. When the 37-year-old was asked, “Is this officially your last season of Big Bash?”, he responded, “Most likely yes, I would say very likely yes.”
