After undergoing season-ending surgery for his Achilles injury earlier this month, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is now free of his cast, but he admits that he still feels like "a big turd" while recovering. Four days after making his New York Jets debut, the injury occurred.
Two days after tearing his Achilles in the Jets' season-opening game earlier this month, Rodgers underwent surgery. Given that, an Achilles injury is frequently regarded as a long setback, and since Rodgers will turn 40 in December and has essentially achieved everything possible in the sport, many speculated that he would simply retire.

However, Rodgers swiftly played down such comments. He doesn't appear to be at all prepared to retire, and he even suggested that he might come back in time for the playoffs this year. According to reports, he also had an intriguing type of surgery that might hasten his recovery.
"I mean when this happened, there's a lot of thoughts about, ‘That's it, cash it in, you're done.' I just don't feel like I am, so I'm going to put myself in position to be able to play again”, stated Rodgers.
“I don’t want to get caught into a timeline,” he said, via ESPN. "I just want to get healthy, honestly, mentally and physically, honestly. But I'm going to do everything I can rehab-wise to put myself in a position to be ready to play football again at some point. And that's the goal.” The quarterback stated.
Since his injury, Rodgers has been absent from the Jets. Rodgers was eventually replaced by the Jets' backup, Zach Wilson, who struggled in their Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. On Sunday, they will host the New England Patriots. Rodgers stated that he intended to go back to the Jets' facility and rejoin the team once he was able to walk independently. But that procedure is expected to take some time.
