Opening batter Abdullah Shafique registered his third consecutive duck in the third and the final ODI of the series against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. After failing to score a single run in the first two games, Abdullah got dismissed for a golden duck versus Kagiso Rabada in the third ODI. With this, Abdullah Shafique also joined legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Mahela Jayawardene and Shane Watson, who had registered three consecutive ducks in ODI cricket during their careers.

Although Pakistan have already have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series against South Africa, Abdullah Shafique had a forgettable outing in both the games as he went scoreless in the first two games with Marco Jansen dismissing him on both occasions. Now, the opening batter fell short against Kagiso Rabada, and registered a golden duck in the third ODI.

Saim Ayub and Babar Azam’s 100+ partnership guided Pakistan to big total
