Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma produced one of the all-time bowling performances in cricket history by picking up a five-for while giving away just seven runs from 5.3 overs against England. The Indian women started the one-off Test dominantly with the 428-run 1st innings score on the back of four half-centuries including Sharma's 67.

As England came out to bat, Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar picked up early wickets alongside a couple from off-spinner Sneh Rana. With the Lionesses poised at 108-3, Deepti Sharma turned up to dismiss Danni Wyatt and opened up the floodgates.
From that point ahead, Sharma ran through the English batting and completed her five-wicket haul. England lost its next seven wickets for ten runs and were bundled out for 136. In the first innings, Deepti Sharma had five wickets from 5.3 overs, of which four were maidens. Celebrating this feat, fans flooded social media with love and adoration.

After inflicting the all-out, the Indian women decided to continue batting and not impose a follow-on over England. For the Women in Blue, openers Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma took strike as India started with a 292-run lead.
