Then in the second innings, Guwahati was presented with the  Rahmanullah  Gurbaz  show, as the Afghan gloveman took apart the Lanakan bowling. Despite losing fellow opener  Ibrahim Zadran early, Gurbaz with  Rahmat Shah posted a magical 224-run partnership to carry Afghanistan near the finish line. Despite a rain delay and  Mohammad Nabi's wicket,  Najibullah Zadran and  Azmatullah Omarzai finished off the game as Afghanistan chased down the reduced score to win the game by six wickets.
