The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Tuesday, 21 November confirmed their tour of India, set to take place next year in January 2024. The Afghans, who had a decent run in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023 in India, finished sixth in the points table, registering four wins from nine league games.

While they registered some upsets as they beat the former champions, England by 69 runs, followed by a win over Babar Azam-led Pakistan by eight wickets and Sri Lanka by even wickets. But days after their exit from the flagship tournament, the Afghanistan Cricket Board took to social media to confirm their tour of India in January 2024 for a three-match T20I series.
The first match of the T20I series is scheduled to be played in Mohali on January 11, 2024, followed by a game in Indore and Bengaluru on January 14 and 17, respectively.
