With the Indian team having some off days in between the five-match Test series against England, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee is all set to make the squad announcement for the remaining three Tests. However, the announcement has been delayed, the availability of several players remains in doubt, including the likes of Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and the recent being Shreyas Iyer.
While Jadeja and KL missed the second match of the series with hamstring injury and quadriceps pain, respectively, the former has been in limelight after his father, Anirudh Sinh Jadeja’s viral comments. However, the Indian all-rounder was quick to react and has dismissed all those claims having strained relationship.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Jadeja, who is nursing an injury at the National Cricket Academy wrote, “All thing s mentioned in the Dainik Bhaskar interview is nonsense. It is completely meaningless and untrue. These are attempts to tarnish the image of my wife which are truly reprehensible. I also have a lot of things to say but don’t say them publicly.”
It is to be noted that in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Ravindra Jadeja’s father revealed that he doesn’t have any contact with his son and daughter-in-law. He also spoke of the rift occurring after Jaddu’s marriage to Rivaba, leading to the distancing between them.
“Let me tell you the truth, I have no relation of any kind with Ravi (Ravindra Jadeja) or his wife Rivaba Jadeja. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. Controversies started happening only after two-three months of Ravi’s marriage. At present, I live alone in Jamnagar, Ravindra lives separately,” Jadeja’s father said.
