The second edition of the American Premier League, sanctioned by the ICC and USA Cricket, is going to kick off on Tuesday, December 19, when the Premium Americans and Premium Windies at the Moosa Cricket Stadium, Pearland. The American Premier League 2023 is set to feature seven teams, but only two of them will play in the final on December 31.

The round-robin stage of the American Premier League 2023 will have teams, namely Premium Afghans, Premium Americans, Premium Aussies, Premium Canadians, Premium Indians, Premium Paks and Premium Windies, compete for the four spots in the semi-final round. Some of the cricketers set to participate in this T20 tournament will be Chris Gayle, S Sreesanth, Stuart Binny, Mohammad Amir, Ben Cutting, Ravi Bopara, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Thisara Perera, Sohail Tanvir, Sheldon Cottrell, and Dan Lawrence, among others.
Chris Gayle spoke about the upcoming edition of the American Premier League and said, “I'm thrilled to lead the Windies team again. Playing in America feels like playing at home. This league is a significant moment for cricket in the USA. It's a chance for us to showcase our experience to local fans and also help young American cricketers elevate their game.”
