The West Indies all-rounder, Andre Russell, is set to feature in his first Bollywood song called “Ladki Tu Kamaal Ki” alongside the Balika Vadhu fame, Avika Gor. The 36-year-old is currently a part of Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, and he is playing a key role in the ascend of the franchise this season.
In the 17th edition of the IPL, Andre Russell has batted six times in nine appearances, scoring 179 runs at an average of 44.75 and a strike-rate of 186.45 including a fifty in the season opener. He has also picked up nine wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders with best figures of 25/3, although his economy is quite high at 11.02 runs per over.
A picture of Andre Russell from the "Ladki Tu Kamal Ki" shoot has gone viral, where the KKR and West Indies all-rounder could be seen holding a clapperboard. “Ladki Tu Kamaal Ki” is composed and directed by Palaash Muchhal, produced by Girish and Vinit Jain, and it’s going to be released on Thursday, May 9.
Meanwhile, Andre Russell will be playing for Kolkata Knight Riders against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 3. KKR have a poor record of only nine wins and 23 losses against MI in the long history of the IPL, but still, they possess a decent squad to upstage their upcoming opponents in away conditions.
A win for Kolkata Knight Riders over Mumbai Indians will put them in box seat to qualify through to the IPL playoffs, effectively putting a dagger on the campaign of the five-time champions.
