Andrew Tate has been accused of choking a British woman until she passed out in 2014, which was years before Tate rose to fame. A fourth British woman has accused the four-time kickboxing world champion, who is already facing three alleged victims in a civil UK suit, of assault. Tate had spent four months in a detention center for allegations of sexual harassment, human trafficking, and forming a criminal group.

The woman, who was given the pseudonym of Evie, claimed that she met Tate in a bar in his hometown of Luton when she was 20. According to Mirror, while they were getting intimate, Tate choked her unconscious and raped her.

In a conversation with BBC Newsnight, she claimed that Tate "put his hand on my throat and strangled me." Evie also subjected her to violent threats and threatened to kill her until he left the next morning. On being asked why didn't report it back then, she said, "I think I knew what had happened I didn't consent to. But I didn't see it as rape or sexual assault because this was 10 years ago." She further added it wasn't until six years later when she described the incident to her friends that she began to think that she had been sexually assaulted.

Meanwhile, Tate, who is currently under house arrest in Romania, has denied the allegations made against him. Tate’s spokesperson said, "Andrew strongly encourages women who have experienced assault, in any form, to report it to the relevant authorities. He is saddened that a few opportunistic women who he has allegedly spent time with nearly a decade ago have decided to try and take advantage of his current situation.” He added, "We will not be commenting any further on anyone's alleged intention to pursue legal action unless such action is submitted to the authorities."

Notably, the 36-year-old Tate, along with his younger brother Tristan, was arrested in December 2022 at their home in Bucharest. They were later released from jail and placed under house arrest in March 2023. Both the brothers are being investigated for crimes of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and forming criminal groups to sexually harass women. Though no charges have been brought against them and they have denied all the allegations.
