The Australian Open 2024 is underway in Melbourne and has started to take shape with key players including Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff making their way into the Round of 16. Off late, Andrey Rublev, who is playing Sebastian Korda of the USA in the Round of 32 match at the Melbourne Park, saw his match halt abruptly with an invasion of an insect.
With the Russian leading the opening set 3-2 against Korda, a cricket made into the court, disrupting the match midway. Rublev tried hard to get the cricket off the court with his hands but failed. However, the ball girl came to the rescue as she picked it up in her hands to leave the insect at the courtside with the Russian eventually winning the battle.
