The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the complete schedule for the remainder of IPL 2021 slated to take place in UAE. It is worth noting that there had been reports of the starting and ending date of the mega event, however, a detailed schedule on how the rest of 33 matches will be played across venues was awaited.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on September 19 to resume the tournament. The remaining 31 matches will be played across three venues - Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Notably, afternoon games will start at 3:30 PM IST (14:00 UAE time) while evening games will begin at 7:30 PM IST.

13 matches will be held in Dubai while 10 matches will take place in Sharjah and 8 in Abu Dhabi. 1st Qualifier is scheduled to be held on 10th October at Dubai, Eliminator on 11th October at Sharjah and Qualifier 2 will take place on 13th October at Sharjah. Dubai will host the final on October 15. Notably, IPL 2020 also started on September 19 last year with a match between MI and CSK.

Here is the complete schedule for remainder of IPL 2021:

IPL 2021 that kicked off on April 9 was slated to end on May 30 but the rise in COVID-19 cases in the bio-bubbles forced the tournament to be called off on May 4. Later, in the month, BCCI announced that the remainder of the tournament will take place in UAE, the venue which had hosted the entire 13th edition of the mega event last year.
