Arsenal reportedly are not planning to sign English winger Raheem Sterling on a permanent deal from Chelsea in the summer transfer window after his season-long loan deal ends with them. It is understood that the 30-year-old, who hasn’t been at his best for quite some time, will return to his club Chelsea in the summer where his future will most likely be decided by the manager Enzo Maresca, who had casted him out of the team upon his arrival last summer.

As per the report published in the Football Insider, Arsenal manager Mike Arteta has felt disappointed with Raheem Sterling’s impact on the first-team over the past few months, and with that, he will look in the market to bolster their squad for the next season. Apart from Raheem Sterling, the Brazilian goalkeeper Neto, brought on loan from Bournemouth could meet the same fate from Arsenal.

Raheem Sterling is still hopeful to be a part of the Premier League next season

This comes on the back of analysis from Mick Brown, the former chief scout of Manchester United and Blackburn, who spoke last year about how Mikel Arteta was far from impressed with performances from Raheem Sterling on the football pitch despite being reasonably good in training. While Chelsea were hoping to see the English winger being signed on a permanent deal by Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer, it isn’t expected to happen as of this writing.

Furthermore, Raheem Sterling is still hopeful to be a part of the Premier League next season, but there hasn’t been any concrete interest from any clubs for him. There has been some movement among the Saudi Pro League club in regards to bringing in the 30-year-old to the Middle East, but he isn’t keen to make such a big switch at the current stage of his footballing journey.
