Pakistan and Sri Lanka have sealed a final berth for them as the two teams will take on each other in the summit clash of Asia Cup 2022 on 11 September. But before that, both teams will face each other on Friday in the last match of the Super Fours of the tournament. It is going to be a rehearsal game for the two teams where they will look to polish their in-form players and sort out the errors they have.

While Pakistan will hope that their captain Babar Azam returns among runs, Sri Lanka will hope Charith Asalanka spends some time in the middle. Pakistan will also look to sort out their issues with the middle order before the summit clash as it failed miserably against Afghanistan. Although a loss won’t affect the dynamics of the tournament, both Sri Lanka and Pakistan will go for a win.

But what do the odds say? Which team has got an edge going into the Friday game? Here is a prediction article about different events of the game.

1. Toss Prediction

 toss

The first and foremost thing both the captains will look to get right is the toss. Dasun Shanaka has a slight edge over Babar Azam as the Sri Lanka captain has three out of four tosses in the Asia Cup 2022. Meanwhile, Azam has won only two tosses out of four instances in the tournament.

2. Win Possibility

 win

Both teams have won three out of the four matches they have played so far in the tournament. While Pakistan have defeated Hong Kong, India, and Afghanistan, Sri Lanka emerged victorious against Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and India. However, Pakistan have a nice edge over Sri Lanka in T20Is as they have defeated the Lankans 13 times in 21 meets. So, they will be the favourites to win the match on Friday.

3. Team of the Day

 team-of-the-day

With the likes of Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, and Naseem Shah Pakistan are certainly the Team of the Day for Friday.

4. Powerplay and Average First Innings Score

 powerplay-average-scoe

The average powerplay score in the 1st innings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has been 48.7 while it has been 48.85 in the 2nd innings. Sri Lanka have managed an average powerplay score of 50.75 in Asia Cup 2022 while Pakistan have managed an average score of 40.5. So, Sri Lanka are expected to score more than 50 runs in the first six overs while Pakistan are expected to post less than 45 runs.  The average score at the venue has been 170.42.
