India's Neha Thakur clinched the silver medal in the Girl's Dinghy - ILCA 4 to bring the first medal for the country in a sailing event on Tuesday morning at the Asian Games 2023. This was also the first medal for India on September 26 and 12th overall at the continental showpiece.

Neha Thakur, who initially secured third place in the Girl's Dinghy - ILCA 4 category race nine, remarkably improved in race 10 to move to second place by achieving an overall time of 24:48.

medalOn the other hand, India's Eabad Ali won bronze in the Men's Windsurfer RS:X event after 14 races. Ali finished with a total of 57 points to clinch the bronze medal as he  edged past Malaysia's Muhammad Izzuddin Bin Abdul Rani by 1 point.
