India’s Vishnu Saravanan claimed the bronze medal at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in the men’s dinghy ILCA7 sailing event on Wednesday, 27th September. However, the day saw the medal being called off, Tokyo Olympian Vishnu, with 34 net points from 11 races was awarded the bronze medal.

It was Singapore’s Lo Jun Han Ryan who claimed the gold with 26 net points while Republic of Korea’s Ha Jeemin clinched the silver with just a point less than Vishnu Saravanan.
Nethra Kumanan finishes fourth after race gets cancelled
India’s Olympian sailor Nethra Kumanan finished fourth, missing a medal by a whisker in the women’s dinghy ILCA6. She finished the race netting 41 points from her series of 11 races. However, Malaysia’s Binti Mohammad Latif Nur Shazrin clinched the gold with 25 net points, Hong Kong’s Norton Stephanie Louise and Singapore’s Chan Jing Hua Victoria claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively.
It is to be noted that India’s Vishnu Saravanan’s medal concluded their campaign at the ongoing Games with three medals. Earlier on Tuesday, September 26, Neha Thakur and Eabad Ali won a silver and bronze respectively.
