Indian trio of Prithviraj Tondaiman, Kynan Chenai and Zoravar Singh Sandhu clinched the gold in men’s trap shooting at Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China on Sunday, October 1. The men’s trio shot an aggregate score of 361 in the qualification round with two of them further qualifying in the men’s individual event.

The side finished ahead of silver medallists, Kuwait’s trio of Khaled Almudhaf, Talal Alrashidi and Abdulrahman Alfaihan, who scored 359. On the other hand, China’s trio of Yuhao Guo, Ying Qi and Yuhao Wang secured the bronze with a score of 354.

Indian women’s trio settles for silver

The Indian women’s trio of Manisha Keer, Preeti Rajak and Rajeshwari Kumari sealed a silver in trap team event on Sunday, October 1. The trio combined to score 337, finishing behind China’s trio of Qingnian Li, Cuicui Wu and Xinqui Zhang. The Chinese team also registered a world and Games record with an aggregate of 357 to claim the gold. The Kazakh trio bagged the bronze with a score of 336.
