The Indian men's squash team won the medal with a result against Pakistan in the final. The first match saw India's Mahesh Mangaonkar suffer a straight-sets loss against Nasir Iqbal. Mangaonkar went down 8-11, 3-11 and 2-11 in 29 minutes.

But the Indian team came back into the fixture, courtesy of veteran star Saurav Ghoshal, who inflicted his own 3-0 straight-sets win over Muhammad Asim Khan. Ghoshal took Game 1 with an 11-5 margin as he faced early resistance with the scores level at 5-5 but then cruised to the win.
Building on this momentum, Ghoshal convincingly took the next two games with 11-1 and 11-3 margin. Then, rounding off the fixture, Abhay Singh took on Noor Zaman and started with a hard-fought 11-8 win. The second game saw tempers flare up as Singh and Zaman were level at 5-5. The game was once again drawn 7-7 after another intense rally.
After a few more confrontational moments, Noor Zaman edged out Singh to claim an 11-9 win in Game 2. The third game also got off to an intense start with both players tied at 3-3 Before Singh took a four-point lead. But after some more back-in-forth, Zaman clawed forward to take a 9-7 lead before sealing an 11-7 win.
With Pakistan leading 2-1, Zaman and Singh going head-to-head for the second time. The first game saw Noor Zaman take a 6-4 lead until Abhay Singh came back to register another close-fought 11-9 win. The medal decider then saw Zaman and Singh battle it out for the third and final time.
The final fixture was full of high-tension moments with both players going blow-for-blow with scores tied at 8-8. Then, finding a small gap, Singh capitalised to register a 12-10 win to win the gold medal
