Just weeks after India breached the 100-medal mark at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the fourth edition of the Asian Para Games is underway at the same venue. The continental showpiece will be held from October 23 to 28 in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China.
The fourth edition of the Para Games has 566 medal events across 22 sports further divided into 24 disciplines. India has sent it’s largest contingent at the Para Games, aiming to eclipse the 2018 Asian Para Games medal tally of 72 medals. While the Indian contingent secured 107 medals at the Asian Games, with the track and field athletes bringing the most laurels, the para athletes will also aim to surpass the 100-medal mark this time.
Notably, in 2018 Asian Para Game in Indonesia, India finished with 72 medals, which included 15 gold, 24 silver and 33 bronze. Here in this article, we aim to keep you updated with the medal tally at the ongoing Para Games.
