Captain MS Dhoni led the Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL title as they won the final against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Monday night. Sports personalities from all around the globe congratulated the franchise and MS Dhoni as they leveled the Mumbai Indians record of the most titles in the league. Wrestler Sakshi Malik, who is part of the protest against the Wrestling Foundation of India Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan, was also one amongst many such athletes.

While congratulating the MS Dhoni-led CSK for their fifth title win, the Indian wrestler took a sly dig at the WFI and their Chief Brij Bhushan Singh. “Congratulations MS Dhoni ji and CSK. We are happy that at least some sportspersons are getting respect and love they deserve. For us, the fight for justice is still on,” she wrote in her tweet, referring to the treatment they have received amidst the ongoing protests.

It is to be noted that Sakshi Malik and other top wrestlers have been protesting for more than a month now in Delhi against the WFI and they have accused Chief Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual harassment. The protestors, who have been detained were also treated badly by the Delhi Police as they went on the break the regulations after Section 144 was imposed on Sunday.

As per the latest update, the wrestlers have announced that they will immerse their medals in the holy river Ganga and start a hunger strike.
