After registering his 11th five-wicket haul in the ongoing first Test, underway at the Optus Stadium in Perth, the Australian fans took to X (formerly called Twitter) to hit back at the Indian spearhead and stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah for his bowling action. Earlier on Day 2 of the first Test, on the back of the five-wicket haul, Bumrah restricted the hosts to 104 with India securing a lead of 46 runs.

The Indian opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul stitched a crucial partnership to end Day 2 of the first Test with a 218-run lead. Although social media was flooded, praising the opening pair of India, a few Aussie fans took to X to question Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action.

With Bumrah finishing the Australian first inning with figures of 5/30 in his 18-over spell, several fans closely montiored his bowling action and questioned the pacer for chucking the ball. While few fans called Bumrah “a chucker”, a few others even questioned the umpires.
