Australia Masters on Monday, February 10 announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming edition of International Masters League (IML). The T20 tournament is scheduled to be played from February 22, with the final scheduled for March 16. In a notable move, former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has been named the skipper of the side.
Furthermore, with Watson leading the Australian side, he will join the likes of former India cricketer and legend Sachin Tendulkar, West Indies great Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis, Kumar Sangakkara and Eoin Morgan in the leadership role.

Notably, Australia have named a well-balanced squad featuring the likes of Shaun Marsh, Daniel Christian, Ben Cutting, among others. The side not only boosts of a well-oiled batting line-up, but also includes bowling depth. Speaking at the squad announcement, World Cup winner Shane Watson expressed excitement stating, “It's always special to be back in India, a place that holds so many great memories for me. The rivalry between Australia and India is intense, and we thrive on that challenge. Leading Australia Masters in the IML is an honour, and our only goal is to lift the trophy. With the legends of the game competing, it won't be easy, but we are ready to give it everything."
Speaking of Australia Masters, they will open their campaign in a clash against West Indies Masters on February 24, followed by a clash against Sri Lanka on February 28. The much-awaited match against India Masters is scheduled for March 5, followed by a clash each against South Africa (March 7) and England Masters (March 12).
