The defending World Test Championship and ODI World Cup winners, Australia, will look at the T20 World Cup played in the USA and West Indies in June 2024. The Aussies won their maiden T20 World Cup title in 2021 thanks to a brilliant Mitchell Marsh 77* in the final and now three years later, the Bison will hope to recreate those heroics as the captain of this side.

Australia are slotted in Group B alongside England, Oman, Namibia and Scotland. The 2021 World Cup winners will kick off their 2024 campaign against Oman before taking England, Namibia and Scotland.

The new T20I captain Mitchell Marsh and veteran batter David Warner will open the innings for Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024. The pair have opened together in the recent past and had a record stand against Pakistan in last year's ODI World Cup. This duo have grown into greats with their aggressive batting approach and will hope to continue going all guns blazing in this tournament as well.
