Babar Azam, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, was rumoured to be in a relationship with the Pakistani actress Hania Aamir recently. But, in a surprising turn of events, during a recent fan interaction on the social media platform Threads, the 26-year-old quashed those relationship rumours by calling Babar Azam her brother.

In the recent past, a fan-made video went viral on X, in which there were a few curated moments of Babar Azam and Hania Aamir admiring each other for their impressive work in their respective fields. When Hania Aamir was asked, “Who is more cute than her?,” she responded with the name of Babar Azam, while the Pakistani cricketing superstar expressed his desire to work with her in a movie if an opportunity comes around.
Shortly afterward, a picture surfaced on X, in which Hania Aamir was interacting with a fan on Threads. She took to her official account on the platform to send out a post, which read, “Baby snakes and I are looking for a king cobra. Please submit recommendations. Iykyk”.
It led to a fan posting a comment in response, “Our own Babar Azam your King cobra”. Hania Aamir probably realised that the fan was trying to link her up with the Pakistani cricketing superstar, so she put their relationship rumours to rest by stating, “Babar bhai hain bro.”
Moreover, after Pakistan crashed out of the ODI World Cup 2023 before the semi-final stage, Babar Azam resigned from captaining the national team from all formats. In his place, the PCB has appointed Shan Masood as the Test captain, while the responsibility of leading the Pakistan cricket team in T20Is will rest on the shoulders of Shaheen Afridi.
