French star Jules Kounde's house was robbed when he was playing the match against Real Betis on Saturday night. The defender found out after returning from the match and reported it immediately to the police, who are investigating the robbery. He communicated the incident to his teammates during training the next day.
There was no one at home so the thieves had the house defenseless and took advantage of the Barca-Betis match. The player informed the authorities and the club when he realised the incident had taken place – no further details have been provided.
According to a report from the Catalan-based outlet Mundo Deportivo, Jules Kounde's house was robbed during the Barcelona-Betis' La Liga game on Saturday. E arlier, Samuel Umtiti, Arthur Melo, Luis Suarez, Ansu Fati, Jordi Alba, Philippe Coutinho, and Kevin Prince-Boateng have all fallen victim to the same crime during their time at Barcelona.
This is becoming a serious problem in Spain as a few months back Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was also a victim of theft and his wife was seriously injured along with Auba, who injured his jaw. Robert Lewandowski was robbed outside of the Barcelona training center last year.
Back to the game, Barcelona won their game against Real Betis 4-0 at the Camp Nou with Jules Kounde starting and assisting the second goal to Robert Lewandowski. The other goals came from Andreas Christensen and Raphinha while the fourth one was an own goal from Guido Rodriguez.
Lamine Yamal became the youngest player to play in Laliga as he made his debut in this game at the age of 15 years and nine months. Coincidently he shared the pitch with the oldest player in Laliga, Joaquin Sanchez who is 41 years old. Barcelona now lead Laliga by 11 points with six games to go. Cules will now play Osasuna on Tuesday, May 2.
