After winning the 11th Bundesliga title, Bayern Munich has sacked CEO Oliver Kahn and director Hasan Salihamidzic. As per reports, The Bayern Munich ownership group decided to fire two key members of the team immediately after beating Koln 2-1 in the final game of the 2022-23 season.
Salihamidžić was appointed sporting director of Bayern Munich on July 31 2017. While Kahn joined the executive board of FC Bayern Munich on January 1 2020. Then six months later, it was announced that Kahn would new the CEO of Bayern Munich as he succeeded the retiring Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
As reportedly football insider, Fabrizio Romano, " FC Bayern are set to sack both Oliver Kahn as CEO and Hasan Salihamidzić as director as part of the revolution for the next season. The decision is expected to be official soon after winning the Bundesliga title."

The news was later confirmed by Bayern Munich, who also stated that Kahn will be replaced by Jan-Christian Dreesen with immediate effect. The club released a statement regarding the incident which said, “It was a difficult decision to part ways with Oliver but we came to the conclusion that based on the overall development a restaffing of the top position in the board,” Bayern said.
