German club Bayern Munich has suspended the Senegalese winger Sadio Mane indefinitely in relation to his fight with his teammate Leroy Sane after the Manchester City game. The former Liverpool man will be also fined an undisclosed amount and not be in the squad for the game against Hoffenheim at home. Mane was seen back in training with Leroy Sane on Thursday.
The club is known for its strict policies against misconduct as Pep Guardiola introduced fines for players when he was in charge and the club also took action against Philip Lahm and Lucas Toni in 2009 for giving an unauthorized interview. The statement by Bayern Munich said, “Sadio Mané, 31, will not be in the FC Bayern squad for the home game against 1899 Hoffenheim next Saturday.”

Back to the incident, Sadio Mane punched Leroy Sane after the 3-0 loss to Man City in the first leg of the Quarterfinal at the Etihad. The two stars were seen scuffling at the end of the match and the fight continued to the dressing room which ended up with Sadio Mane punching the German.
It has brought out criticism from the rest of the team and they do not expect Mane to stay at the club after this incident. Mane and Sane were both present at the meeting with the management. The Bavarians now face the uphill task of covering the three-goal lead against Man City at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
