BCCI announces 2022-23 central contracts; Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah retained even after not being available

Notably, Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action from September last year while Pant was ruled out in December 2022.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Sunday announced the Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Men) for the 2022-23 season. Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant who is out of cricketing action for around three months now and Jasprit Bumrah who has been out of action since September 2022 have been retained in the contracts. Notably, while Bumrah is in the A+ category, Pant is in the A category.
