The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reportedly issued a verbal warning to Indian cricketers after the former India skipper Virat Kohli posted his Yo-Yo score on Instagram story. As per the report by the Indian Express, the cricket governing body wasn’t pleased by this. The officials reminded players that they cannot reveal such confidential information on public platforms, and such actions in future can lead to ‘breach of contract.’

If sources are to be believed, the Indian team which is present in a preparatory and fitness camp at Alur in Bengaluru, have been issued a verbal warning.  The Indian Express quoted a BCCI official as saying, “Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause.”

Earlier, the ex-Indian captain took to his Instagram to share the update of his yo-yo test. Not only this, but the cricketer also revealed his score on the public platform, which, according to the cricket governing body, is confidential information and hence, should not be made public. Kohli had posted, “The happiness of finishing the yo-yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done.”

The Rohit Sharma-led squad  will undergo a training camp in Bengaluru ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. According to PTI, apart from Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya also took the yo-yo test on the first day of the camp and cleared it successfully.
