The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is to release the tickets for the 2023 ODI World Cup on August 10 per media reports. The marquee tournament is set to kick off on October 5 with the 2019 World Cup finalists England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah, after a meeting with the state associations in New Delhi on Thursday, confirmed that the tickets will be released after all state bodies present their finalised ticket prices with BCCI by July 31. Further Shah also stated that physical paper tickets will be the only option for fans to enter the stadium through the World Cups. Fans would be required to collect their tickets from various collection centres across the city.
In a report by the Indian Express, Jay Shah was quoted saying, “We will make arrangements so that the physical tickets can be collected at seven-eight places one week prior to the match. We will make it hassle-free. We will start the e-ticket system in bilateral games first.”
As per the protocol, the ICC and BCCI are set to receive 300 hospitality tickets per game as per the Indian Express. The state associations will also allot 1295 league game tickets and 1355 India and semi-final game tickets to the ICC. Further, the state association also give 500 general tickets free of cost to the BCCI.

The board has further asked the state boards to provide additional tickets if more are required. Beyond these quotas, each state association have the ability to purchase 40 tickets per game while the 10% of the remaining tickets can be purchased by the ICC tour partner.
