Best Indian teams over past editions of Asia Cup

Indian team have played 12 Asia Cup editions in the ODI format from 1984-2018 and they went on to win six titles. Initially, Team India won four out of the four Asia Cup titles that they participated in from 1984-1995. But in 1997, 2000, 2004, and 2008, the Men in Blue failed to lift the trophy despite reaching the finals on many occasions.India under MS Dhoni lifted the Asia Cup title in 2010 after 15 years but in the subsequent editions (2012 & 2014) they couldn't reach the finals. India won their sixth ODI Asia Cup title in the 2018 edition under Rohit Sharma's leadership after winning the previous edition (2016) in T20I format. But lost the final to Sri Lanka by a small margin of 25 runs despite the best possible effort from Sachin Tendulkar and were runners-up in this tournament.Tendulkar was simply phenomenal in that tournament, scoring 281 runs with the bat and picking up 12 wickets with the ball. Sachin Tendulkar (205) and Navjot Singh Sidhu (197) were the top scorers and helped India win the Asia Cup. Among bowlers, Anil Kumble (7) and Venkatesh Prasad (6) picked the most wickets in this tournament.Skipper Azharuddin scored a sensational unbeaten 90 runs to help India beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the final match. India played in the final to lift the Asia Cup trophy since the 1984 edition final match didn't happen.
