India went on to lift the Asia Cup title for the fifth time after 15 years with the help of brilliant performances collectively under MS Dhoni's leadership. India played only four games in this tournament. Gautam Gambhir top-scored (203) for his side with a batting average of 50.75. 

Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, and Zaheer Khan each picked six wickets to their name, respectively. Harbhajan Singh played a brilliant role in finishing a thrilling game against Pakistan which helped India to qualify for the finals. Dinesh Karthik won the Player of the Match award in the final for scoring 66 runs against Sri Lanka.
