Indian opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal shared the advice he received from Indian captain Rohit Sharma after beating Afghanistan by six wickets in Indore. After a decent bowling effort, Jaiswal took charge in the second innings and gave the Men in Blue a blistering start after Sharma's first over golden duck.

Jaiswal batted with the likes of Virat Kohli and Shivam Dube and stitched up back-to-back 50+ partnerships before getting out at 68 in 34 balls with five fours and six sixes. After the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal shared his experience of opening the innings and the advice Rohit Sharma gave him before getting out to bat.
Speaking to BCCI.tv, he said, “Kaafi maza aaya batting karne mey, Wicket bhi kaafi acha tha (I enjoyed my batting, wicket was also very good). We had really good target to chase, in my mind, I wanted to give a good start."

“Wo kehte hain tu jaa aur bindaas khel (Just go and play your shots freely). He’s always there to look after us. It’s always incredible if you have a senior like him,” he continued.
Coming back to Jaiswal's 57-run stand with Virat Kohli, the Mumbai shared how batting the former India talking is always an honour and gave an insight about their conversation in the middle. Jaiswal said, “It’s always a pleasure to bat along with Virat Bhaiyya. It’s an honour to play with him. We had the conversations like what shot we can play on this wicket or which areas we can hit.”
