For LSG, opening batter Mitchell March turned out to be a star as he smashed a fiery half-century in his first game of IPL 2025 against his former IPL franchise. The right-hander got out after smashing 72 runs off 36 balls, reaching his half-century in just 21 balls.
Coming to bat first after winning the toss, LSG were off to a great start as Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram added 46 runs for the first wicket in 4.4 overs. Markram got out after scoring 15(13) runs. After that, Nicholas Pooran joined Marsh at the crease as the duo put up a partnership of 87 runs for the second wicket.

Apart from that, Pooran also reached his fifty in just 24 balls. Followed by this, Pooran went on to smash four consecutive sixes and a four against Tristan Stubbs in a single over as LSG were headed towards a big total against DC.
